Q&A

01 What is the most impactful book that you have read?

I love “Peninsula: A Story of Malaysia” by Rehman Rashid, a masterful work that interlaces Malaysian history, political shifts, cultural nuances, and personal reflections into a vivid tapestry of Malaysia’s journey into the 21st century. What moved me most were the tender glimpses of love shared between the late Rehman Rashid and his wife, Rosemarie Chen.

02 What did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child, I dreamed of becoming an architect and a filmmaker—two paths that combined my love for creativity, structure, and storytelling. Architecture appealed to my fascination with design and the way spaces shape human experience, while filmmaking drew me to the art of capturing emotions and weaving narratives that inspire.

03 I recently discovered that:

I recently discovered that my six-year-old son is far more caring and thoughtful than I ever imagined. While walking together, he gently reminded me to be careful on the moss-covered path, warning that it could be slippery. In that simple moment, his kindness and wisdom shone through in the most heartwarming way.
