Biography

Bhargavi Chevva joins Breakthrough Energy’s Business program from Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout her career in energy and climate tech, as both an operator and investor, Bhargavi experienced firsthand the art and science of commercializing innovations: at large corporations, from the perspective of a VC, and within early-stage startups. She looks forward to applying her experience to help Innovator Fellows launch and scale impactful climate startups with a strong foundation.

Most recently, Bhargavi served as SVP of Business Development and Strategy at ReMo Energy, where she led the commercialization of distributed green ammonia plants and secured multi-year offtake agreements. Prior to that, she spent five years as an investor at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, helping deploy funds across the climate-tech spectrum. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Genentech/Roche and at ExxonMobil, where she worked as a downstream process engineer managing complex refinery operations and capital projects.

In her free time, Bhargavi enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
