Hydrogen is the next generation fuel and energy carrier capable of the same societal impact as oil and gas once did but without carbon footprint or environmental hazards. Today’s solutions are either too costly, too carbon-heavy, or depend on rare geologic conditions. GeoKiln tackles this challenge by manufacturing hydrogen on-demand, turning ordinary rock into a renewable resource through controlled subsurface stimulation.

Geokiln’s Manufactured Subsurface Hydrogen (MSSH) technology applies thermal energy underground to trigger natural reactions in iron-rich formations, generating hydrogen in place. They use tools already common in oil and gas: horizontal drilling, subsurface electrical heaters, and reservoir modeling but repurpose them for a clean energy future.

By combining energy sector know-how with breakthrough science, GeoKiln has the potential to unlock vast new domestic hydrogen underground, empower landowners and governments, and deliver clean, low-cost hydrogen , laying the groundwork for the next onshore energy revolution.
