C STAR
Company Description

The transportation sector contributes nearly 24% of global CO2 emissions, and despite rapid electrification, it will continue to rely on liquid fuels for decades. Even under a net-zero scenario by 2050, the International Energy Agency projects a demand for 5.6 million barrels per day of sustainably produced hydrogen-based fuels, which includes hydrocarbons.
C STAR has developed a highly efficient, scalable CO2-to-Fuel technology that addresses this challenge head-on. Their proprietary process combines two catalytic steps: the reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, to convert captured CO2 into drop-in hydrocarbon fuels. Their technology is set apart by its high single-pass conversion and selectivity, eliminating the need for costly and complex recycling loops. This results in significantly lower CAPEX and OPEX, lowering the cost of their sustainable fuels.
Designed for decentralized deployment, C STAR’s solution enables on-site emissions reduction and lower fossil fuel dependence across industrial and remote locations.
