At Breakthrough Energy, Jules works to advance public affairs programs and manage strategic communications projects across the organization’s various entities and initiatives.
Prior to joining Breakthrough Energy, Jules spent three years on Edelman's Financial Policy and Public Affairs team. While at Edelman, she focused on projects in ESG, climate change, sustainable finance, economic development, financial policy and regulation, corporate social responsibility, and inclusive capitalism, among others. As a project manager, she worked with clients to develop and implement public affairs campaigns, and oversaw engagement with policymakers, media, and third-party groups on emerging policy and industry discussions. She also contributed to content development, exploring the implications of various policy debates on the financial services industry. Specifically, she has written op-eds, bylines, and blogs on topics such as climate and ESG policy, corporate governance, regulation, retirement policy, and trade. Jules has prior experience in refugee resettlement case management and international human rights.
Jules graduated with a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Michigan and is originally from New Jersey. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. and tends to spend her days in the sun reading in a hammock, exploring the outdoors, and testing new recipes.
