Gail Easley is an Executive Business Administrator at Breakthrough Energy partnering with and supporting the Catalyst team. She also manages Breakthrough Energy’s philanthropic efforts including employee volunteering, giving and engagement, and communications and reporting around philanthropic issues for the organization.
Gail previously served as an Executive Business Administrator at Gates Ventures, Bill Gates’ private office, where she supported several directors and oversaw the Washington D.C. office’s philanthropic outreach. From 2016 to 2020, Gail worked on the communications team at a leading energy trade association. She also served as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Vice President, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, General Counsel and Vice President, Communications to support high level projects, including climate change and sustainability.
Throughout her career, Gail has received various honors for her leadership and community service in the nonprofit sector. In 2012, she was invited to the White House to receive a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, the nation's highest honor for out-of-school arts and humanities programs that celebrate the creativity of America's young people, particularly those from underserved communities.
Gail is a graduate of California State University at Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the Women’s Energy Network DC Chapter and has served as the philanthropy chair on their event committee. While based in DC, Gail spent several years raising her family in Washington State. She proudly wears her “12s” badge as an avid Seahawks fan and savors the area’s great cultural life of coffee and winemaking.
