Cristina is part of Breakthrough Energy’s U.S. Policy and Advocacy team. In her role, she focuses on BE’s signature policy priorities to decarbonize heavy industrial processes like steel and cement manufacturing and advance clean energy standards and solutions.
Cristina joined Gates Ventures/Breakthrough Energy in January 2021, after serving as policy advisor to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and Senate Democratic Leadership. In this position, she supported the Senator’s energy and environmental priorities and broader efforts as chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
Prior to serving in the U.S. Senate, Cristina was appointed to the White House Council on Environmental Quality under President Obama.
Cristina holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan. She lives in Washington, D.C.
