Cristina is a manager of strategic initiatives for Breakthrough Energy’s U.S. Policy and Advocacy team. In this role, she supports partnership and strategy development to advance Breakthrough Energy’s advocacy on an ambitious U.S. climate and clean energy policy agenda that accelerates innovation and creates demand for clean technology deployment.
Cristina joined Breakthrough Energy from the United States Senate, where she most recently served as policy advisor to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and Senate Democratic Leadership. There, she supported the Senator’s energy and environmental policy agenda and broader efforts as chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. Before serving in the U.S. Senate, Cristina was Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs in the White House Council on Environmental Quality under President Obama.
Cristina received her B.S. with honors from the University of Michigan in earth and environmental science and Spanish. She is a founding and executive committee member of a local philanthropic group and helps out at a farmer’s market on the weekend. She aspires to nail her tennis serve, improve her Italian, and find more time to get outside. She lives in Washington, D.C.
