Anna Hurlimann joined Breakthrough Energy in August 2020 as a software engineer, where she is helping to develop the grid simulation framework for researchers to use.
She has a diverse background, having worked in a microfluidics laboratory at Harvard University, at a 3D printer startup in Brooklyn, and as an independent consultant. Most recently, she was an engineer on the IP monitoring team at T-Mobile where she worked with application developers, network engineers, and security analysts to leverage real-time wire data for their needs. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Williams College.
Originally from Connecticut, Anna now lives in Seattle with her husband, big white dog, and black cat. In her free time, she likes to experiment in the kitchen, play piano, listen to opera, and spend time outdoors.
