ABOUT THE PROJECT
As we work to decarbonize the transportation sector, Hydrogen (H₂) fuel is well-suited for heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) use profiles due to its low on-board weight and fast refueling rates.
Large-scale adoption requires fueling infrastructure with two features. First, fuel must be delivered at a cost and with fill rates comparable to diesel stations today. Second, the fueling network must be able to expand as the HDV fleet grows. CSH2 is developing a modular refueling system enabled by a next-generation liquid H₂ pump to reduce costs, improve reliability, and allow fueling networks to flexibly adapt to evolving fueling needs.
By cracking the “chicken-and-egg” challenge of H₂ refueling, CSH2’s technology has the potential to enable decarbonization of HDV transportation.
